Dealing with odour

You can use our Report an environmental health issue form to make an odour complaint

Please note that we will not investigate your complaint if:

• you provide anonymous or false contact details
• you don’t know where the odour is coming from
• you are not prepared to complete odour log sheets when requested.

The Environment Agency (EA) controls some potentially odorous activities with environmental permits; if your complaint relates to a sewage treatment works, please contact the EA on 03708 506 506 or enquiries@environment-agency.gov.uk; you can also call South West Water on 0344 346 2020.
