Land use change

A number of measures have been taken to maximise potential for offsetting our GHG emissions through afforestation, in line with the Carbon Reduction Plan, including:

• Public & Green Spaces to move from 24% to 30% canopy cover (tree line cover), target for 2030.
• Public and Green Spaces working with Greater Devon Network partners to increase canopy cover further across remaining private open spaces.
