Parking Places Order 2025
Please note that this consultation is now closed.
Introduction
We are amending some aspects of car parking across the city. The proposed changes support the delivery of our Corporate Plan, in supporting a Balanced Budget and the Medium Term Financial Plan. Car park income supports the delivery of a wide range of our services that attract people to live, work and visit Exeter, as well as keeping Council Tax low for residents of the city.
Please see the full details of our Civil Enforcement Off-Street Parking Places Order 2025 and Statement of Reasons.
We are asking our customers, residents, visitors and the business community to provide feedback on the proposed changes and how they might impact you. We very much appreciate your insight and your time in providing feedback. This may be in writing to Mr S Copper, Head of Legal and Democratic Services, Civic Centre, Paris Street, Exeter, EX1 1JN or by email at carparks@exeter.gov.uk by 4 September 2025.
How we will consult
On the proposed changes, a number of actions will be undertaken to inform car park users and other stakeholders of the proposals:
- For those that park in City Council car parks, posters will be displayed within all affected car parks.
- An advert will be placed in the Express & Echo, to notify those that live within and surrounding Exeter of the proposed changes
- Detailed information on the proposals is included in a committee report to Executive on 24 June 2025
Findings
