Visitor information
The Custom House Visitor Centre on Exeter’s historic Quayside offers information primarily focused on the Quayside, the river Exe and the Historic Ship Canal. Information is also available for the wider city area to help make your visit to Exeter as enjoyable as possible. The Centre stocks information on where to visit, activities and events in the local area.
Guidance can be offered about what’s on in the local area, leaflets, maps, local books and souvenirs.

Opening times:
- April to October 10.00am to 5.00pm, 7 days a week
- November to March 11.00am to 4.00pm, Thursday to Sunday
Closed: Christmas Day and New Year’s Day
Visitor Information Points
We have a series of mobile Visitor Information Points (VIPs) that display printed visitor information (including maps) located in the city at the following locations:
- John Lewis (upstairs by café and toilets)
- Exeter Library
- Exeter Tickets (Fore Street)
- RAMM
- Exeter Cathedral
Event tickets
Tickets for various events throughout the city can be purchased from the Exeter Tickets Box Office on Fore Street.
