2. Building regulations fees and charges

The Building (Local Authority Charges) Regulations 2010, fees effective from 6 April 2026.

Schedule 1. Standard charges for one or more Dwellings.

(Houses up to 300m² and flats up to three storeys)

For extensions or loft conversions exceeding 60m2, the minimum standard charge in Schedule 3 is £1020.00 inc. VAT for a Full Plans application and £1020.00 inc. VAT for a Building Notice application.

The 'Regularisation charge' does not attract a VAT element.
