Submitting a planning application

Key information that must be submitted with your application includes:

a fee;
an Application Form, including signed Ownership Certificate and Agricultural Land Declaration;
a Location Plan drawn to an identified scale and showing the direction of North;
any other plans, drawings and information necessary to describe the development, (plans and drawings should be drawn to an identified scale and show the direction of North);
Community Infrastructure Levy Form 1,

and the following may be required depending on where you live:

A Design and Access Statement, if you live in a Conservation Area,
Archaeological Report - Applications for development involving ground works in the Area of Archaeological Importance. This would include all proposals in the St Davids Ward, parts of Sidwell Street and the southern end of Longbrook Street, in the centre of the city.
Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) Form 2 - if the proposal is CIL liable;
A Heritage Statement - if your home is Nationally or Locally Listed, or you live in a Conservation Area,
A Flood Risk Assessment - if you live in a Flood Zone,
An Ecology Report Bats and Birds – if demolition is involved, extensive works to your roof, or the works are for Solar panels, you are likely to need a report that assesses impact on wildlife. See more about a Wildlife Assessment Check,
A Tree Survey and Tree Protection Plan - If trees are affected by the proposed works, this includes any works under the canopy of a tree.
