Exeter City Grants

The City Grants Fund will support groups and organisations to help run events, festivals and projects that aim to encourage community participation. This fund can also be used for a one-off purchase or repair of equipment.

One-off grants of up to £2,500 are available from an overall budget of £60,000.

City Grants in 2025/26 will focus on the following Priority Neighbourhoods:

  • Exwick
  • Redhills
  • St Thomas
  • St David’s
  • City Centre
  • Newtown
  • Mincinglake
  • Beacon Heath
  • Whipton
  • Wonford
  • Countess Wear

These areas are priority areas as they are the main communities in the city with the highest rate of inequalities.

Applicants need to have at least 20% match funding in place (20% of £2,500 is £500) to be considered by the Grants Panel.

Applicants will need to demonstrate that there is community support for their project and that it meets one of the key priority themes.

Due to limited availability of funding and high demand, it should be noted that there is no guarantee that an applicant will be successful in their application, or receive the full funding amount applied for if they are successful.
