4. When is food waste collected?
Find out when your bin is collected - it may not be on the same day as your other bins.
Food waste is collected every week.
This makes sure your food waste is removed regularly, helping to:
- keep your kitchen bin and rubbish wheelie bin cleaner and fresher
- reduce smells and hygiene concerns
To make sure your waste is collected:
- place your red caddy at your usual collection point
- put it out after 6pm the evening before, and before 6am on collection day
(Communal food waste bins will be collected from the communal bin collection point.)
Your food waste is collected by a different crew from your recycling or rubbish, so collections may happen at different times.
