2. St James Neighbourhood Plan
The St James Neighbourhood Plan was prepared by the St James Neighbourhood Forum. On 16 July 2013 we adopted the Neighbourhood Plan as part of the statutory development plan following examination and a local referendum. The St James Neighbourhood Plan can therefore be used in the determination of planning applications.

Designation of the Exeter St James Forum as a Neighbourhood Forum
The St James Neighbourhood Plan was prepared by the St James Forum. An application for designation as a Neighbourhood Forum was received on 29 June 2012. We received no objections to the application and therefore approved Exeter St James as a Neighbourhood Forum. No other organisation or body may be designated for this neighbourhood area until the designation expires or is withdrawn.
Dissolution of the St James Forum took place in 2022 following a local decision by the group. However, further information about the Forum is provided below.
