2. About the Planning Committee
The Planning Committee determines applications that are significant, sensitive, or otherwise not delegated to planning officers. Most applications are decided under delegated powers.
The City Council encourages public involvement in the planning process. Members of the public and non-committee councillors may speak on items at Planning Committee meetings, subject to advance registration.
Public speaking complements the written representation process and promotes transparency in decision-making.
