Involvement & engagement

We offer support to residents so that they can participate in our engaged groups or attend any of our events.  Members of our engaged groups received: 

• Tablets so that they can read agendas and minutes 
• Childcare and other carers expenses covered so that they can attend meetings 
• Travel expenses such as parking, taxis and bus travel covered so that they can attend meetings 
• £5 vouchers for groceries or shopping for every meeting attended 

We will work to ensure that this group is representative of the wider tenant population, and that opportunities are advertised widely to everyone in many different formats; where we identify gaps in representativeness, we will seek to address them. 

Residents can expect the following arrangements for all of our formal group meetings, events and activities: 

• Fully accessible venues, including access for wheelchairs and hearing loops 
• A PA system for events over 40 people 
• Support so that anyone can attend regardless of circumstances; this includes paying for and arranging accessible taxis, and providing payments for childcare and carers 
• Carers of residents who attend events, activities and meetings are welcome, regardless of whether they are tenants themselves 
• Translation and interpretation services are available if required; this includes access to telephone translation services, in-person translation and interpretation services will need arranging in advance 
• Tablets are provided to residents who are part of our formal groups to enable them to attend virtually and access meeting agenda, minutes and other documents 
• Paper and electronic copies of all documents made available, and large print (including braille) can be sent out in advance of meetings via post 
• Where possible, we have offered some activities in the morning, afternoon and evening.  

We are committed to removing barriers that residents might face in participating in our groups, events and activities.
