2. How to get involved
How to get involved
We run several groups and panels where residents can help shape our services.
Tenants’ Voice
A panel of tenants and housing staff that looks at issues affecting neighbourhoods and estates. The group reviews our policies, procedures and strategies and makes recommendations for improvement. The group's Terms of Reference are available to read.
A sub-group (Tenants’ Voice: Special Project Group) undertake their own projects of review. We share our reports from our reviews on our Housing Hub.
Complaints and Performance Group
Tenants meet every two months to review performance information, complaints and Housing Ombudsman cases. Their feedback helps us identify trends and improve services. The group's Terms of Reference are available to read.
Resident Communications Panel
This panel helps make sure our publications are clear, engaging and easy to understand. Members also help shape the content of InSight, our biannual housing magazine. The group's Terms of Reference are available to read.
Repairs, Maintenance and Procurement Group
This group focuses on issues that affect tenants' homes and communal areas, including repairs, maintenance, cleaning, and health and safety. It also plays an important role in selecting contractors for new contracts, helping to ensure that tenants have a voice in decisions that impact their homes and communities. The group's Terms of Reference are available to read.
Tenants' Voice: Special Project Group
This sub-group undertake critical reviews of our services and produce recommendations on how we can improve. They select the area(s) they want to focus on, undertake investigative work, produce reports and present their findings to senior managers. The results of their work are also published online enabling our residents to see their input into improving our services. If you are part of any of our tenant groups above, you are welcome to participate in these projects.

Neighbourhoods and community
Residents’ Associations
Residents’ Associations represent the interests of people living in a block or estate. They help raise issues, campaign for improvements and strengthen community voices. We offer an online guide to help you set one up.
Community rooms
Some Older Persons’ Housing schemes have community rooms that can be used for activities such as coffee mornings, craft sessions, exercise classes and digital support. We can help if you’d like to organise an event.
Community funding
Funding may be available for local community projects through our Community Grants Programme.
Resident Involvement Strategy
Working with residents is central to how we plan and deliver housing services. Our Resident Involvement Strategy explains how we involve tenants and leaseholders and how their feedback helps shape decisions.
