Key dates

The Pride in Place programme will be delivered over a 10-year period, with a number of important milestones during the first year of the programme.

Current phase – Mobilisation

Work is currently underway to establish the programme structure, begin early community engagement and recruit an independent Chair for the Neighbourhood Board.

By 26 August 2026 – Neighbourhood Board formation

The independent Chair and Neighbourhood Board members are expected to be appointed by August 2026. During this phase, the Board will also review neighbourhood boundaries, establish governance arrangements and begin shaping the programme’s priorities.

By 26 February 2027 – 10-year Pride in Place Plan

A long-term Pride in Place Plan will be developed with local residents, organisations and partners. The plan will set out the vision, priorities and investment programme for the area, including how funding will be used during the first four years.

Ongoing delivery and engagement

Following agreement of the plan, projects and initiatives will begin to be delivered, supported by ongoing community engagement, monitoring and evaluation throughout the life of the programme.
