7. Scaffolding safety
Scaffolding is sometimes needed around your home so contractors can safely carry out repairs and maintenance.
We only use trained, competent contractors to put up, use and remove scaffolding. Access is also removed or secured when it is not in use.
Scaffolding can be dangerous if it is used by anyone who is not authorised.
How to stay safe
Please do:
- stay indoors while scaffolding is being put up or taken down
- keep children and pets away from scaffolding at all times
- follow any safety instructions given by us or our contractors
Let us know straight away if:
- anyone other than authorised workers is using the scaffolding
- the scaffolding looks damaged or unsafe
- it affects your safe access in or out of your home
- there is excessive noise late at night
Please do not:
- climb on or access the scaffolding
- interfere with or adjust it in any way
- attach or tie anything to the scaffolding
- come outside to watch work being carried out
